When you experience a muscle cramp or spasm, the pain can be crippling and relief not so easy to find.

Holistic health providers have found that most patients prefer magnetic therapy over drug therapy for pain relief.

This alternative medical treatment using magnets increase the capillary blood flow which helps flush lactic acid and other inflammatory agents that build up in the tissue, to ease pain and inflammation.

The blood supply also carries oxygen which may be helpful in relaxing muscles and relieving cramps and spasms which are oxygen starved.

For this same reason massage therapy provides effective relief, it loosens the muscles in spasm and allows blood to flow and deliver oxygen necessary to terminate the spasm.

Use the illustration as a placement guide for using magnetic therapy as an alternative health treatment for cramps and spasms:

Place magnetic dots on point A in the center of the base of the calf muscle, midway between the crease behind the knee and the heel, at the bottom of the calf muscle bulge, to relieve leg cramps (especially in the calf muscle), knee pain, lumbago, and feet swelling.

Place magnetic dots on point B located on the top of the foot in the valley between the big toe and the second toe, to relieve foot cramps, headaches, tired eyes, and hangovers, as well as allergies and arthritis.

Place magnetic dots on point C located two-thirds of the way up from the upper lip to the nose; this first-aid revival point has traditionally been used for cramps, fainting, and dizziness.

As with any medical treatment, consult your physician before beginning magnetic therapy.
